The rescue centre I got her and her two cage mates from actually had to rescue them from another supposed "rat rescue centre". The person who'd taken them on had got more than she could handle and had stopped caring for any of them. Daria was lucky - she had a chest infection that's she's mostly recovered from now, one of her other cage mates had such a bad case of untreated mites that she now has perminant scars over her nose and her ears are scarred and ragged, and the other rat had an infection that damaged her brain and now her head tilted to the side, and she had a mamery tumor, which I had removed this week. They'd spent their lives being unwanted and ignored, I figured they deserved a loving home now ^_^

I Never heard of a tumor being removed form a rat..it's so unlikely they servive, most people don't ant to take the shance...how's she doing now?
